Benjamin W. Hulburt, President & CEO

Prior to co-founding Eclipse Resources in 2011, Mr. Hulburt served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Rex Energy Corporation, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ, with operations in the Appalachian, mid-continent and rockies regions of the United States. Mr. Hulburt co-founded Rex Energy in 2001, and after considerable growth lead the company through its initial public offering in 2007. Prior to November 2001, Mr. Hulburt served on active duty as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, leaving the service holding the rank of Captain. He served as a Director of Rex Energy Corporation from March 2007 to October 2010. Mr. Hulburt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Hulburt was recently awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 in the Western Pennsylvania region.

 

Christopher K. Hulburt, Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Prior to co-founding Eclipse Resources in 2011, Christopher K. Hulburt served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Rex Energy Corporation where he was responsible for managing all legal and compliance affairs, contract negotiations and legal due diligence. Before joining Rex Energy in 2004, Mr. Hulburt was with the firm of Hodgson Russ, LLP in its corporate and securities practice group. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps as a military prosecutor for the U.S. Army and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice for four years. Mr. Hulburt received his Bachelors degree in History/Education from Niagara University and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law.

 

Thomas S. Liberatore, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Liberatore brings to Eclipse Resources over 30 years of oil and gas experience in the Appalachian Basin. Most recently, Mr. Liberatore served as Vice President and Appalachian Regional Manager for Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation where he managed over $700 million in drilling and acquisition investments, including the drilling of over 1,100 wells, construction of over 700 miles of pipeline and the initiation of horizontal drilling programs in both the Huron Shale and the Marcellus Shale. Mr. Liberatore received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from West Virginia University. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Appalachian Geological Society, has served on the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association, is a Past President of IOGA WV and is a registered professional geologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

 

Brian Panetta, Vice President of Geology

Before joining Eclipse Resources, Dr. Panetta was a geologist with Waco Oil & Gas where he was responsible for geological and petrophysical analysis of the Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale and the development of their Marcellus Shale drilling program in West Virginia. Prior to joining Waco in 2009, Dr. Panetta served as a Senior Geologist for Chesapeake Energy Corporation where he was responsible for geological and petrophysical analysis of the Marcellus Shale in southwest Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Dr. Panetta earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of South Carolina, Master of Science degrees in Geology from the University of Kentucky and The University of Alabama, and a Doctorate degree in Geology from The University of Alabama. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and is a registered professional geologist in the State of Alabama.

 

Bryan M. Moody, Vice President of Reservoir Engineering & Business Development

Prior to joining Eclipse, Bryan served as the Director of Development Planning for EXCO Resources, charged with developing strategic initiatives, implementing portfolio optimization, improving budgeting, reserve forecasting, and drilling/operating procedures in both the Dallas and Pittsburgh offices. Prior to EXCO Resources, Mr. Moody served as the Director of Reservoir Reporting for SandRidge Energy, with a focus economic reserves analysis and reporting, evaluation of drilling joint venture proposals, asset sales, acquisitions and divestitures larger than $200 million. Before joining SandRidge, Bryan founded Montecito Consulting Group, involved in financial analysis and valuation, accounting policy, and SEC and IFRS compliance. Bryan served in the United States Navy as a nuclear engineer, and received his Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Thomas Edison State College and his MBA from the University of Rochester.

 

Melissa Hamsher, Vice President Health, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory

Prior to joining Eclipse Resources, Mrs. Hamsher served as the Vice President of Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance for Rex Energy Corporation where she was responsible for the establishment and management of all HSE&R programs including the establishment of company wide Marcellus Shale drilling & completion best practices and water management. Before joining Rex Energy, Mrs. Hamsher was an engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Oil and Gas Management. Mrs. Hamsher has Bachelor of Science degrees in Structural Design and Construction Engineering and Environmental Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

 

Ronald A. Giles, Director Drilling & Completions

Mr. Giles brings over 25 years of expertise in modern drilling and completions methods in unconventional reservoirs to Eclipse Resources. During his career he has supervised the drilling and completion of over 1,500 shale wells throughout the United States. Prior to joining Eclipse Resources, Mr. Giles served in various drilling and completion supervisory and consultant roles for Encana Oil and Gas, Chesapeake Energy Corporation, XTO, BP, Shell, Marathon, Rex Energy and Noble Energy.

 

Todd R. Bart, Director of Accounting

Mr. Bart has served in various accounting and financial positions with several oil and gas companies since 1987, as well as an auditor for Arthur Anderson LLP. Mr. Bart served as the Vice President of Accounting & Controller for Bois D' Arc Energy, Inc., a NYSE company with operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to joining Bois D' Arc, Mr. Bart served as Controller & Chief Financial Officer for Panaco, Inc. a publically traded company with operations in Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Bart is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of the American Institute of CPAs. He received his Bachelors degree in Accounting from Abilene Christian University in 1987.

 

Marilou Wright, Director of Land Records

Ms. Wright has over 30 years of oil and gas land records experience. Most recently, Ms. Wright served as Manager, Land Records at Rex Energy Corporation. Prior to her work at Rex Energy, Ms. Wright was a Senior Lease Analyst at Chief Oil & Gas, LLC and Land Administration at Thompson Petroleum Corporation. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations including American Association of Professional Landmen, Greater Appalachian Basin Association of Lease and Title Analysis, National Association of Lease and Title Analysts and National Association of Division Order Analysts.
